Run, jump, throw

Today we had lots of fun doing the run jump throw activities.
Here are a few photos from our morning. Thank you to all the parents who came along to support this great event.

Swimming

This week we started swimming in the school pool. We had a great time and we are looking forward to going again next week. Look how good we are at keeping our bags tidy.

Library

Today was our last day for us to issue a new library book.
Next week Mrs Ward will start her stocktake.

5 Year Old Trials

5 Year Old Trials

On Monday the 5 Year Olds trialled for the Kākano Athletics Sprints.

Well done to Flynn, Brae, Manaia, and Sienna, who will be in the finals on Athletics Day.

Mural

This is the mural that we created at the end of Term 3 with Room 23. Didn't the kids do awesome!

Princess Pat

Over the last couple of weeks we have been learning the Princess Pat echo song.
Here we are having a last practice before performing it at 'Reflection Time' on Friday.

Sharing

Brae brought some of his dad's medals to show us during sharing time. Brae's dad won them playing darts. Thanks for sharing them with us Brae.

Miss Allen

This week Miss Allen has been teaching some groups. She has done really well and the children all enjoyed her lessons.

Eating Values Lesson

For the next two weeks we will be talking about:

General expectations: C.A.R.E for Eating	Community Sit down while eating. Put your rubbish in the bin/ lunch box and put lunch box away. Active Thinking Follow instructions. Eat in the appropriate areas. Respect Wait until you've finished eating before talking to others. Excellence Use manners. Make healthy food choices.

When we eat we...

- Wash our hands first, including hand sanatizer.
- Sit nicely with your lunch box
- We are quiet
- We walk to put away our lunch boxes when the teacher tells us we can go
- We make sure our rubbish is in the right bin

Sharing previous learning

Today Riley shared with the class his book about Singapore. Riley loved being able to share his experiences with others.

Big book

Today Manaia read this big book to the class at read and feed time before morning tea. Thanks Manaia you did a great job!

Principal's Award

Today CJ was super excited to receive a Principal's award. Well done CJ!

Shake Out

On the 15 October we participated in the National ShakeOut day. After practicing our "turtle" we headed out on the field, as we would with any emergency. It was awesome to be apart of a national event!
